CPR / First Aid - 6-hours:
This course will include a review of general medical subjects, that focus on general industrial treatment, and the most recent CPR methods. The course will be site-specific based upon the hazards that are presented on a daytoday basis. The incidents focused on will include but are not limited to: cardiac arrest, lacerations, burns, head and face injuries, shock, hypothermia, amputations, and poisoning. It will additionally include hands on scenarios that address: control bleeding, treatment of shock, patient assessment and strains/sprains. Bloodborne Pathogens - 2 hours: This course will include an in-depth review of the medical standards as it relates to blood-borne pathogens and other potentially infectious materials. Additionally it will address exposure to incidents, documentation, and following up with management. This course includes a hands-on scenario that instructs students how to properly remove contaminated PPE.
